 Davis
& Hoyt, Inc. is an Independent Insurance Agency providing the full range
of insurance services for the Danbury and Southern Connecticut areas. The
building at left tells a story about our agency. In 1907, the year the telephone
company opened its first building in downtown Danbury, Howard Davis founded
what is now one of the region's leading independent insurance organizations.
It is no coincidence that this same building, a historical landmark long
regarded as a symbol of strength and integrity, became the home of a firm
which has brought security and value to residents and businesses of Danbury
for more than 90 years. Expansion came in 1948 when Davis was joined by
Harry W. Hoyt, Sr. who later became his partner and successor. And again
in the early 1960's when Harry's sons Pete and Tony came on board. Today,
Tony Hoyt owns and manages the firm with its staff of 10 insurance professionals.
